About

Hi, I’m Steve, the maker behind Creedon Edge Works. I build Japanese-inspired carbon steel chef knives by hand, one at a time, in my shop here in Michigan. My goal is simple: to make knives people reach for everyday.

I don’t believe in cinder block sized knife stands stuffed with eight knives you never use. I believe most chefs, home or professional are better served by 2-3 well-designed knives that perform every time they’re picked up.

Many of my handles are crafted from carefully selected reclaimed hardwoods, including old-growth Bloodwood from architectural salvage and Hickory salvaged from the press blocks at the Historic Cadillac Stamping Plant here in Detroit. Each piece has its own character and history.

Thanks for visiting, I hope one of my knives finds a lasting place in your kitchen.
