You don’t need a full drawer of knives!

Walk into any kitchen and you’ll find an oversized knife block filled with knives that rarely leave the slot.

I believe there’s a better way.

Most home cooks - and many professional chefs can do nearly anything in any kitchen with just two knives: one of my three larger primary knives and a petty. Add one of my handcrafted magnetic custom knife stands and you’ll have simple, purpose-built kitchen setup,

Whether you choose a gyuto, bunka or santoku comes down to personal preference. Pair it with a petty, and you have a combination capable of handling nearly every task in the kitchen.

The Gyuto

The gyuto is an all around chef knife and the knife I recommend to most people. Its designed to handle everything from vegetables and herbs to proteins,

The Bunka

The Bunka is my personal favorite. Its a nimble, versatile kitchen knife with a distinctive K-tip that excels at precision work. It is equally at home slicing vegetable, herbs and proteins while offering more control than a traditional chefs knife. Pair it with a petty and you’ll have a two knife setup capable of handling nearly every task in the kitchen,

The Petty

The Petty is the perfect companion to your primary knife. Designed for trimming, peeling and other precision work, its the knife you’ll reach for everyday. Paired with one of my three primary knives, its all most chefs will ever need.

The Santoku

The Santoku’s signature sheepsfoot profile offers excellent control in a compact all-purpose kitchen knife. Pair it with a petty and you’ll have all the cutting tools most kitchens will ever need.
